Charisma Group’s foray into the renewable energy initialized with the Windfarm Power Project. 30 acres of freehold land owned by the group in Satara was used to install 18 windmills for the project which was commissioned in the month of March 2008.

The group has entered into an agreement with the MSEB for selling the power generated at the project site for distribution over the next 13 years. There are plans to add 4 more windmills to the existing setup. The Windfarm Power Project has started generating power which according to the aforementioned agreement, is sold to MSEB in lieu of appropriate compensation. Going by the trends in the Windfarm Power Project, the Group hopes to meet the break-even point much in advance of the projected time frame. |
